Two to face the court for Shineka Gray's murder

The St James police have charged two men in relation to the murder of 15-year-old schoolgirl Shineka Gray.
The men have been identified as 23-year-old Mario Morrison of Bamboo district, Hanover and 31-year-old Gregory Roberts, taxi driver, of Maroon Town, St James.
Both men were charged with murder following an interview with the police on Thursday.
THE STAR understands that both men are to face the St James Parish court next week.

Remanded in custody

Head of the St James police, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth said they will be placed before the courts for a determination to be made if they are to be remanded in custody.
Investigators said no friend of the deceased has been implicated in any way in this gruesome act, a rumour which had surfaced shortly after her body was found.
Our news team gathered that Gray was abducted after she took a robot taxi.
Gray, a 10th grade student who had gone missing since Sunday, January 29, was found dead on February 1 in bushes in Irwin, St James.
The body had multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Gray was last seen after attending the funeral of a former Green Pond High student in Lottery, St James, earlier that Sunday.
