Soulja Boy Hit with Felony Gun Charges, Could Face 4-Years in Prison

Monday [Jan. 23], Soulja Boy, also known as DeAndre Cortez, has formally been charged with illegal possession of firearms and could face four years in prison if convicted. On Dec. 15, the rapper was arrested at his home after police found a .45 caliber Glock, .21 handgun and a Mini Draco AR-IS assault rifle. Soulja will face one count of possession of an assault weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful firearm activity for each. Also, the 26-year-old faces a misdemeanor receiving stolen property after police linked one weapon to a weapon stolen out of a Huntington Beach police vehicle.
